Wrapped in the HK22 - ERT+ Solid reactive coverstock, finished at 500/2000 Siaair Micro Pad, bowlers should anticipate a strong overall hook on heavier lane conditions.

Strengths

The Pure Madness provides a more controlled shape downlane compared to balls like the Atlas, High Speed, and Piranha PowerCOR. Its smoother motion worked best in our testing when using straighter angles on medium to heavier oil conditions.

Weaknesses

The smoother motion of the Pure Madness can make it prone to flatter hits in transition and makes it difficult for bowlers to open up their angles. The ball was receptive to surface changes to help alleviate this issue.

Overall Summary

The Pure Madness features a dull solid coverstock wrapped around an asymmetrical core shape that creates a smooth, controllable motion. It is less angular and has less total hook than the Atlas, High Speed, and Piranha PowerCOR.
