Strengths

We liked how easily the Ethos cleared the front part of the lane, even later in the session when there was more friction in the heads. The pearl cover and new core design allowed it to make a strong move at the breakpoint and back end.

Weaknesses

The Ethos needs more surface to be used on heavier volume or longer oil patterns. Flatter conditions or too much oil in the middle of the lane can result in an over/under reaction until the lanes have broken down enough.

Overall Summary

The Ethos offers good length and a strong back end motion that can match up to lighter and medium oil conditions. It easily clears the fronts even as the oil breaks down. It provides a great option as the lanes start to get dry or for bowlers who like to play closer to the friction on the fresh.
