Take things slow and steady with Scorpion Low Flare by Hammer...

Hammer introduces a new ball motion to the Scorpion line that is much different that previous releases... Scorpion Low Flare features a LED 3.0 Low Flare core that will provide a smooth, predictable arcing motion.

Wrapped in the Semtex Hybrid reactive coverstock, finished at 500/1000/2000 Siaair Micro Pad, Scorpion Low Flare will be your new "go to" on over/under conditions.
Here's what Hammer has to say about Scorpion Low Flare:

Hammer is always looking at adding balls to the line to fill gaps and make it the game’s most versatile and complete line. Low flare cores have been a staple for Hammer, and currently, the Envy Tour balls are extremely popular, but we haven’t had a symmetric low flare in a while. We are excited to add the Scorpion Low Flare to the lineup. Removing the flip puck from the LED 3.0 core found inside the Scorpion Sting lowered the differential and flare potential, making this ball a perfect fit for Hammer. The Scorpion Low Flare will be a smooth and predictable ball motion, driven by the core numbers and the Semtex Hybrid cover, finished at 2000 Siaair. All styles will love the Scorpion Low Flare; higher rev rates will use it on anything, and lower rev rate players will find it useful on tricky conditions, and when the lanes are transitioning, either way, you won’t want to show up to bowling without one.

Strengths

The Scorpion Low Flare provides better versatility than one might expect from a ball with a lower flaring core design. While it stands out on drier to medium oil conditions, the controllable motion and strong traction make it an option for heavier oil patterns as well.

Weaknesses

In the world of urethane Hammers, Black Widows, and giant-hooking Envy releases, the Scorpion Low Flare's only weakness is that it has an understated motion that might fly under the radar and get overlooked. While it doesn't provide a big skid/flip shape or massive total hook, the Scorpion Low Flare can still find its way into most bowlers' arsenals.

Overall Summary

The Scorpion Low Flare does everything a bowler needs. It reads the midlane well, offers enough hook for heavier oil, and provides enough control for drier patterns. Bowlers looking for an updated motion from the older Arson Low Flare will really like what this ball brings to the table.
