Columbia 300 is looking to make Kaboom a household name for bowlers who need excellent length and strong backend without breaking the bank. The engine behind the Kaboom is the new Detonate core. Its symmetric shape is extremely unique, and there isn’t anything like it! The Kaboom also gets its easy length and backend from HK22 with Reflex Pearl, the most booming cover base in bowling, and this version produces devastating results. Medium oil and lanes that are breaking down are no match for this explosive release.

Strengths
The Kaboom offers easy length without being as snappy as the Cuda PowerCOR Pearl. While not really a true benchmark reaction, this ball could be the first out of the bag on most league nights.

Weaknesses
The glossy pearl cover on the Kaboom will struggle on longer and heavier volume patterns. Even when sanded, the Kaboom still had too much length for these types of conditions.

Overall Summary
The Kaboom features a new core design for Columbia 300. Paired with the HK22-based Reflex Pearl coverstock, it provides a good option for medium to drier conditions with easy length and a strong back end reaction.
