The Breakaway has an RG of 2.528 and a differential of 0.041. This combination of core dynamics and HK22 Solid, which is polished, yields a very definitive backed reaction. Our goal was to create a symmetrical ball with a massive backend motion while increasing the hook window to be sure it has plenty of continuation. The Breakaway hits the Radical target of increasing backend motion and maintaining continuation through the pins. Combining the Breakaway symmetrical core with the HK22 polished solid cover, you get great performance and a great shelf appeal.

Strengths

The strong back end motion and midlane traction from the Breakaway give it a lot of versatility and make it a go-to ball for the majority of medium conditions and league nights.

Weaknesses

The Factory Compound keeps the Breakaway from being able to handle longer and heavier oil patterns out of the box. Bowlers wanting more total hook will want to remove the Factory Compound and leave the ball sanded.

Overall Summary

The Breakaway helps fill the gap that was left from the discontinuation of the Bigfoot series. With more midlane and hook than the Crypto Boom or Rattlers, it provides a good benchmark option and a nice step down from the higher performance options in the Radical line.
