If you drilled the original DNA, try the same layout on your DNA Coil and expect the same early-revving action, but with a longer, more angular ball motion we all look for as the lanes start to break down.

Strengths
The DNA Coil provides a strong midlane read for a pearlized bowling ball. If bowlers see the Virtual Energy Blackout getting a little over/under, this ball can blend that out with more traction in the oil and a slightly slower response off the dry.

Weaknesses
For a polished pearl bowling ball, the DNA Coil hooks quite a bit. Our testers would have needed different layouts to get this ball to work well on our dry test pattern.

Overall Summary
The DNA Coil's polished pearlized cover gives it much more length and angularity than the Absolute Power while providing more total hook than the Journey and Virtual Energy Blackout. The total hook and overall shape keep it from overlapping with other polished pearls, giving bowlers another option when duller balls are hooking too much and other shiny balls are a bit too over/under.
